I think I have frequent, small OBEs
Sometimes when I'm working on the pc, I feel tired. I lay down and shut my eyes for about 10 minutes. During that time my mind is usually running rampid and I'll see imagery(hypnagogic?) and out of nowhere, i feel a slight snap. My eyes simultaneously are forced wide open.

How can the strongest possible effect be a placebo? Hallucinations are definately possible with binaural beats; if you wish to avoid them simply use a dose that isn't supposed to make you hallucinate (any sedative, opiate, stimulant, sleep, or sexual dose will do). Yes. I agree. But what doses WILL...

I-doser is not about getting high
It's about meditating with the dose.
Slow breathing, calming the body and mind, deep relaxation.
And that my friend, is the key.
EDIT: Well maybe it is. Meditation enhances effects.

I always recommend Vico. Its the shit. DXM is also fun. Ah, DXM. So I am yet to try the visualization that goes with the new i-doser app. Would that be likely to induce hallucinations? So if I am staring at the screen... does it necessarily have to be dark? Oh and btw, how have you been m8? Haven't...
