can you like recieve any effects from opium (or poppy) seeds?

cause my sister's friend's grandmother makes the best opium seed biscuits...

Opium is refined poppy seeds, I'm not sure how they refine it, or how much is needed, but it eventually becomes a form of opium.

From what I've heard, if you refine opium, it converts into heroine, and if you further refine it, it becomes morphine.

morphine is more refined then heroin, but not nessasarily stronger, but morphine is much much safer then heroin.

I never tried heroin cuz I don't want to be like a heroin addict or sumthin, but I tried morphine, it has kinda the same affects without the munchies and cottonmouth

Heroin IS morphine, just in a different form. If you wikipedia heroin, it comes up as "diamorphine".

i have a 1.25oz. thing of poppy seeds. so seeing as how i have these i figured i might as well use em properly. so is it possible to overdose on poppy seeds. second is mixing alcohol with poppies/poppy tea a bad idea? basicall is it going to kill me is what i want to know.

A half pound of seeds is a good starter tea. You can OD but not if you do it right. Drink some, wait 15 minutes, drink more. Look up online how to make poppy seed tea.

Edit: Also, don't mix with alcohol until you're more experienced. Opiates and alcohol are both CNS depressants, so don't mix until you're familiar with your dosing and how it affects you.

Just go to erowid. If you have a live poppy, just nick it, don't "cut". You want it to ooze out a white tar, that will turn black, THAT SHIT, is opium.

Papaver Somniferum has 7 different opiates including Morphine,Codeine, and thebaine.

Morphine is the most widely used, and abused, as it has the most potential for sedation, euphoria, analgesia, and chemical exploitation.

Codeine is used more in Cough & Cold remedies for people with severe sinusitis or other respiratory conditions, as it acts as a cough suppressant. It's potential for abuse lies in the subtle euphoria, which Is it's strong suit.

Thebaine, just like any other opiate, can be turned into heroin or codeine, but it's most useful action. is that of the chemical precursor to buprenorphine.

Codeine breaks into NorCodeine, which then breaks down into Morphine.

Heroin breaks down in 6-Acetyl Morphine, which breaks down into Morphine, and finally NorMorphine.

Super fucking addictive, also extremely pleasurable.. I'm quite torn.

Also, Poppies can NOT be used to make cocaine.
