I was listening to the CD version of opium, and when i got "afloat" i started seeing these patterns and vividly colored things, and then all of a sudden i felt as if i was standing in front of a swirl of bees, and then one of them flew towards me and hit me on my forehead, i was so tranced that i got one of those "wake up" twitches people get and then i was back to normal.
Wierd, huh?
Opium - caused Lucid dream-like trance?
Sounds like you were starting to enter a dream, but were still half awake. When the bee hit you, you were not paralyzed enough, so you reacted in the normal way. XP

Ya, whenever I get into a trance and the hypnagogic imagery starts I really get "involved" with whatever I'm seeing. But sometimes when I fall too deep into the trance and almost fall asleep my body jerks like that (and there's usually a CEV to go along with it, like me tripping over a rock or something) and I "come back to reality".
