This may sound kinda dumb, but ive never had a LD before, and my gf claims to have many, but she says its not even worth it to try, it only lasts what, 15 seconds, and what? its over!... does it really only last like 15 seconds, like a regular dream?
im so interested in this subject its not even funny.
How Long does it Last?
There's no predetermined time that you will remain lucid, it can vary depending on many factors.
If you want to have lucid dreams more often I wouldn't recommend using I-Doser to do so. Instead I'd like to float the idea by you to practice dreaming, it's not very difficult to do, though you do need very coherent circumstances, and patience is a -key- factor.
Before you go to bed every night try reading or meditating for 15 minutes or so, so you can reach a very focused mindset. When in meditation, if that's the route you decide to take, focus on yourself and your body's natural vibration/tone. Don't question yourself as to 'am I doing it right?' or 'should I maybe lay like this?' or 'I think I feel it'. Let yourself open to everything, let it all flow through you. Feel your body release tension with every exhale, and take in nothing, yes nothing, with every inhalation.
As for waking up ...
As soon as you wake up try not to move or think about anything. The second you realize you're 'back' keep your eyes closed and recall your dream. If you have already opened them, concentrate on a specific object in your room and repeat you dream to yourself while focusing on that object.
You should also keep a book nearby (close enough to reach it without having to reposition yourself). Every morning when you wake up, write down what you can recall from your dreams in it. If you recall nothing, just begin to write what comes to mind off the top of your head.
But, if you want to just experience it for the occasion then knock yourself out with the Lucid Dream Dose. It recommends you go to sleep right after using it, so I would say wait until you're very, increasing your chances of falling asleep as close to its finale as possible (maybe even before it ends).
