Hi! I'm about to buy a headphone to use with i-doser.
But I have a doubt. Most of head phones i've seen to buy have a FREQUENCY ANSWER that starts from 20hz to 20.000hz .... some starts on 18hz ... some 10hz... and a few 5hz.
I've seen the APPROVED headphones link on i-doser website... and that wireless one they indicate has a frequency answer from 18hz to 22khz ...
My doubt is, some i-doser doses informe the frequency they work... and most os the informed ones are from 5 to 15 or to 20 hz... would them work on a headphone that answers from 20 to 20khz ????
I mean, what about Delta dose, it works from 0.5hz to 4hz... i couldn't find a headphone that answers to frequencies THAT LOW !!!! I guess the software will throw to the phones a low frequency, but i'll listen to a diferent one.
What should do i do? Does it change the results ? Will it work if i Doesn't it change de real frequency i'll hear? I'm kind of worried of buying a wrong headphone, some one help! Thanks

Any headphones with a fairly large frequency range will do the job

I've seen this topic you mentioned. But really didn't get this, they recomend a phone that answers starting from 18hz... so if they use a phone like that and it works, i thind 'ill not pay twice or three times the money just to get a phone that answers starting from 5hz ...
Maybe this frequency they are telling is not the real frequency of the sound, but the frequency of its wave... i mean, i can have a more trebled sound but with a wave that starts and finishes the sound 10times ... or 4 times per second, i guess this is it, otherwise they'd never be able to really make Delta dose works... with 0.5hz sounds and a phone that answers from 18hz... right? so i'll buy a phone with 20 or 18hz from inicial frequency answer and try

I've done a bit of research on the topic of binaural beats before going into this i-doser adventure and here is what i've found out. most high quality headphones have a range of around 20hz-20khz because the usual range of human hearing is around that range. the frequencies that match certain brainwaves are simply not audible to the human ear. this is where i believe a big misconception occurs. binaural beats work by "tricking" the brain into thinking it's hearing something that it is NOT hearing. a binaural beat simulates a 10hz frequency, which could not be heard by any human ear by playing a 500hz in the right ear and 510hz in the left ear. since our ears work together, the brain is tricked into thinking these two sounds are actually one sound, a 10hz frequency. that is actually what causes the "beats" in the tracks. i'm not exactly sure about my headphones and although they're pretty good, they're not 20hz-20khz headphones i think they're somewhere around 100hz-18khz and this has been working just fine for me. perhaps it would be more effective with better headphones, but i'm a happy camper. the biggest thing is they must be STEREO sound. you will get nothing with MONO sound. that's my two cents.

Humans can hear from 20hz to 20kHz maximum range. most adults can't really hear above 18 or 19 kHz. Lots of audio equipment boast large ranges and it's all a gimmick to get consumers to buy it. oh well.
