The bright side of a placebo effect

Post by deadlydream »

Hey everyone, let me start by apologizing about the section under which i am posting this, this is the most suitable section in my opinion.

We all know what the placebo effect is, basically when you convince yourself something is going to happen, your mind *almost* creates the effects you desire. I'm a strong believer that this program works. But i would also state that the more you think about the desired outcome, the stronger it is.t Think about it like this though. If you are NOT doing a dose. With practice, you MIGHT just be able to create some of these effects.

This is just an idea that sounded right in my brain.

tell me what you think about this.

Thanks!

Placebos are amazing and powerful things. My sister played a trick on me once. She said that if I took this pill I would never get hiccups again. I took it and didn't get hiccups for several months until she told me that it was just a sweetener!

Indeed, with practice you could have a lot of fun with placebos. The thing is (this is unrelated), when you're dosing, don't think about the effects, you might give yourself a placebo effect and throw off the real effects you are getting from it.

I-Doser being a Placebo is like a woman faking an orgasm. It doesn't matter, we're still getting our pleasure.

De hecho, con la práctica podría tener un montón de diversión con los placebos. La cosa es que (esto no está relacionado), cuando estás de dosificación, no pensar en los efectos, puede darse un efecto placebo y deshacerse de los efectos reales que están recibiendo de ella.

The problem with Placebo effects, however, is if you think that something is a placebo, or know for that matter, and it actually is, then the effects of said placebo WILL NOT work. Because it's the persuasion of your mind that convinces you to feel the effects. If your mind has nothing to be persuaded about, nothing happens.

So your saying if I think its a placebo and it works it really isn't a placebo?

Yeah, pretty much.
