So I tried peyote the other night at my friends house, and it was pretty nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but a relaxing experience.
During the first few minutes I became relaxed and heavy, which seems to be pretty common. Then, when I was about half-way through, my hands felt as if they had gone corkscrew, and I would've not known which way they were pointing if i didn't remember how I set them in the beginning. I also saw some purple and beige coloured soft-edged patterns and spirals moving. (The subtle light coming through my eyelids dimmed down before this happened).
Afterwards I felt a little tipsy/euphoric as I got to explain all this to my friends : D
HOWEVER, the most interesting thing is, that a buddy of mine had also felt as if his arms were twisted when he had tried peyote earlier. And I didn't have any expectations earlier, and I hadn't read any experiences. So it was no placebo!
