Doesn't work?

I'm incredibly new, I tried Marijuana Quick Hit, freaked the hell out about half way when the pitch started to change, but I think that's just me, and I tried BufoToad and nothing happened.
Should I try a few of these a couple of times to see if they work after that?
I just did BufoToad then, and I think I'll try it again now.

Do them each several times. It may take days or weeks for you to start getting effects. They do work though.

Either at my laptop in my bed, watching TV (rarely, i feel this probably won't work at all), or laying in bed with the whole towel over face etc.

You'll get lesser effects, but they still work. If you haven't been able to get one working otherwise though, you might want to do it eyes closed.

do you get to a point where pretty much every dose works in some way?
and do doses tend to work in the way the description says they should?

Most of the doses I do have some effect on me. Only one that has never worked is nitrous, but other doses have only affected me slightly, like the full dose of peyote.
