Best Mobile Device and Headphones

What are the best mobile devices for playing the .mp3 version of doses? There are people who are huge audiophiles when it comes to the device. I've got an iPod Classic and a 2G iPod Touch. Does it make a difference which one I use?

As for headphones, I'm a big Skullcandy fan (I have a pair of Hesh) and prefer to use Skullcandy for listening to all my music. Does anyone have an recommendations for which Skullcandy headphones I should buy for listening to doses?

I doubt the player is a big deal, just as long as it can play the files.

and as for headphones, just about anything stereo will work.
