I just got a new computer and want to check if the volume settings are right. It's a Gateway with the newest version of Vista or whatever.
Anyway, here's what it says:
When I hit the Volume button it shows a line thing in the middle, and then two things to click on, one is "Mixer" Then I hit Speaker properties. Under general information it says Realtek High Definition Audio. It also has a choice whether to use this or not.
Then under "Levels" it has this:
Realtek HD Audio Output: 67
Microphone: 24
FrontMic: 24
Line In: 24
Center: 100
It gives me an option to change these numbers and beside each there's a button that says "balance".
Then under "Enhancements" it has the following below that can be checked or not checked. Right now none are checked.
Environment
Voice Cancellation
Pitch Shift
Equalizer
Virtual Sound
Loudness Equalization
Last in "Advanced Settings" It says "Select the sample rate and and bit depth to be used when running in shared mode."
Right now it's on: 24bit, 48000Hz, but it can be moved much higher.
Please help!
