Out of body - question

I have read the expiriences that alot of people have accured listening to out of body and many others,usually they start off saying some stuff blahblah and then example:"I saw a friend of mine looking at me from across the room however my eyes were still closed. He was all colors and the rest of the room was a complete haze." do i need to fall asleep or something like that to have a mind blowing expirience of this drug?
