Help! First time user.

Post by Mrhaggs44 »

So this is my first time in the forums, and I have dosed many.

My problem is I am not experiencing any effects at all.
I lay down in my room, dark, and relaxed. Though when I listen to the dose I do not experience anything!
I've tried counting backwards, but I have enough focus on the dose.
I have started with a beginner dose such as French Roast, and it's a DRG file, so from what I've read it's the most effective type of dose? I'm using a Turtle Beach x12 which has a frequency response of 20Hz-20KHz, which is perfect, yes?

Any advice on what I could do to at least experience a few effects? I do not believe this is placebo, I intentionally use I-Doser for my gaming. PLEASE HELP!

Edit: I forgot to mention the one thing that would matter the most in this post, about 4-5 months ago, I had experienced effects from I-Doser, the french roast dose was half of what I felt listening to an Isochronic Tone, I felt alert more than usual, but as of now, nothing works... is it true you can become immune to IDoser over time? (From what I've experienced??) Try to believe me guys, I've felt nothing these past few days, and it hurts to not experience I-Doser the way I use to..

Appreciate the post spiritguy, those topics have given me plenty of information. I'm not doubting the condition dose information I'm looking at, as I'm trying the dose right now. Though I suppose it will take a while, maybe to a week or more to notice effects. Who knows, maybe it's my headset...that's kind of my update for now, hoping for results by tomorrow!

So yesterday, before I went to sleep I used Condition, and sleeping angelx2, and did not experience anything lucid or special in my dream. Has any experienced anything from the headphones I use? Unfortunately I cannot find my skullcandy lowrider headphones, I would try those immediately if I could.

So here's my update for today, I used french roast with condition this morning to start up my game on Halo. I did not particularly feel alert, no buzz or energy, just felt like I do everyday.

I have not gone through and read the help that was given-so if i repeat something, but think maybe, I would say don't focus on what the effects will be, even before going through with listening to a dose, or maybe somehow you're thinking of the effects during listening, or even anticipating what will happen. i know that doing kind of my own modified breathing meditation(what i mean by that is it's not truly meditation, just kind of a closed-eye controlled breathing session) clears out my thoughts, but i don't want to assume about what you're doing, and i'm not experienced so i don't how to help out really lol, and i don't want to get into too much assuming-you know what they say about assuming ;)
hopefully your problem will work itself out man i'm not too good at helping but i wanted to at least try haha.

Yes, this is a good point - controlled breathing session

Instead of allowing the mind to drift into various thoughts, focus on the sound and connect it with your breath as you breathe in and out.

I mean to say, get into some rhythm while you breathe in and out, connecting it with the sound - In this way you will succeed in eliminating the problem of diversion while listening.

Mrhaggs44 - May I know how much you are getting diverted while listening?

Well, whenever I prepare for my dose, I lay down, start the dose, put a folded t shirt over my eyes, I make sure it's perfect, and not a distraction, and just lay still(which is just relaxing it seems) at that time, I clear my thoughts, just everything that runs in my head, just throw it away, I've tried several ways, and they all seem to work fine for me (this answers your question) I try counting backwards from a three digit number, along with the number itself in my head counting down. When I listen to the sounds, that humming noise goes in a circle so I follow it. Last, but not least, listen to it and trying to make lyrics out of it (as if it was saying something).

Uhm, that's about it. No problem with the listening, I just don't know what's going on..

How long have you been dosing? Have you noticed any improvement since the time when you started? Just trying to understand what all you have done till now..

In the beginning I just felt mild effects from the doses, they weren't like extreme or anything, but I've just listened to them, didn't really know how to improve myself over time, I was a noob doser, now I know all these tips, and everything. But...what's the point when it stops working for you, just out of the blue. (coming back to it) I'm not really going to give up, but, it seems my mind has either blocked it, or I'm immune now. If I knew the exact problem...

Are you using one of the iDoser approved headphones?

Sadly no, I wish I could buy some ( on a very low budget ), I'm using turtle beach x12, but anything with a decent quality and freq. response of 20-20kHz is fine right? Weird thing is, when I had a turtle beach x11 used for the doses ( when i first started ), It had an 30-20kHz freq response, and still felt the effects... but I don't think there is a problem with my hearing.
