suggestion: MP3 player type, headphone model, file format
people have talked a lot on methods, focus and headphones etc
I think no body talks about devices. If mp3 files can be played on simple mobiles other then IPHONE and ANDROID ?
And I have a suggestion when users post their experiences they must also describe the devices they used during this. i.e. MP3 player type, headphone model, file format and sound settings etc.

Thank you I will keep this in mind. I actually in the beginning used to state that I have my .DRG files converted to MP3 and put onto my iPod nano G6 which is incapable of having apps installed on it. I also will use my Skull Candy UpRocks when I am not at home and use my Astro A40 Professional Gaming headset when I am at home. I hope you find this useful and I will make sure to state my methods when I post further reviews.

I only use MP3 files on my iPOD, with the normal Ipod plugs. It really works. I think you shouldnt worry too much about it.

Honestly the quality of the MP3 player doesn't matter as long as it stores your doses and can play them. Gold connectors are a plus but not even top models like iPod have them. Dont fret about it. Hell you could even buy the CD doses and play them on your walkman CD player and get the same effect. Its more about your headphones. Which as MS-DOSE (clever name) stated he/she uses standard iBuds which are recommended to avoid by IDoser! So it doesnt matter too much as long as you can hear the dose.

But as a beginner, I wanted to remove all obstetrical from my first successful experience.

Tell you what, $30 MP3 Player and $30 Phillips headphones (The cool ones that look like speakers) will do the trick.
Re: suggestion: MP3 player type, headphone model, file forma
Creative X-Fi with the 3d effects on and the crystalizer on max. Beats studio headphones. Not only will this give you the best mp3 dosing, its sound quality will rival high end stereo systems
Re: suggestion: MP3 player type, headphone model, file forma
Do NOT use any form of 3D or bass effects. They could effect the dose.
Re: suggestion: MP3 player type, headphone model, file forma
Well this may depend on the type of effects you are using. Most do muffle the sound which will indeed affect the dose. The effects I use enhance it, and I've tested out multiple setups and at least on a subjective level I've found the doses to be superior with these effects. So I wouldn't tell people not to do this, but to be aware that it may effect their experiences, perhaps negatively, and perhaps even positively That's just my view though, but you should always look to form your own opinionsidoser wrote:Do NOT use any form of 3D or bass effects. Considering we've done multi-year testing on headphones and effects, we are confident in recommending you DO NOT use 3D or BASS BOOST, ENHANCEMENT, etc. effects. We know for a fact that most 3D and spacial processors (hardware or software) effect the dose and hinder effects. Feel free to experiment, but know that the average user probably isn't going to get the intended effects.
Re: suggestion: MP3 player type, headphone model, file forma
That's fair, and I don't question your expertise, but in the end this is all subjective. I've tested this on myself and have found a huge difference between flat and unaltered playback and the effects I speak of. If I had to listen to the flat version, I'm not even sure I would bother with all of this. With my setup, I can't get enough and enjoy several hours a day of pleasure and am also finding the effects are cumulative.idoser wrote:Considering we've done multi-year testing on headphones and effects, we are confident in recommending you DO NOT use 3D or BASS BOOST, ENHANCEMENT, etc. effects. Having said all that, I wouldn't even bother with anything that isn't from Creative Labs as the rest of the stuff is pure garbage. If people do have X-Fi though then you can't really go wrong giving it a try if you like to experiment like I do. Listen to a dose one way and then the other, if you don't like one of the ways then of course you won't be blaming i-doser for lack of quality or effect.
Re: suggestion: MP3 player type, headphone model, file forma
So I did another comparison. This is on my computer, Creative SB X-Fi sound card. Pick your favorite dose.
Entertainent Mode. Volume: 16. EAX: none. 3D: 52%. Crystalizer: 79%.
So I have this stuff all on, simply awesome. I turn it off, blah. I no longer feel that good and it's like a quieting of the mood. Maybe if you have mania you want to use this setting to dull yourself Turn it back on, ahh, that's better, a lot better.
I've gone through entire doses flat and with various settings and this is what works for me What this does is up the quality of the track, not muffle it, which other attempts to add effects usually end up doing. It's like listening to a track with a piece of crap set of phones versus state of the art. By the way I only use the best and maybe if you have less than great headphones this may be different.

Re: suggestion: MP3 player type, headphone model, file forma
I dont use any sound enhancement when I am using my Android or iPod but when I am on my computer I have a loudness sound enhancer. Im not talking about the equalizer settings either. It boosts the volume and then I can get it nice and loud the way I like. But other than that I actually found that with other enhancements its just not as fun.
Re: suggestion: MP3 player type, headphone model, file forma
Keep it simple, I get good results with my iPod and standard iBuds. I have turned the EQ effects out, I think they can affect the dose. Instead of trying to get the best headphones (nothing wrong) you could better learn to focus better. It's not about the headphones or earbuds, well their quality should be reasonable, it's all about focusing. Many people try to spend time on finding the right headset etc. in order to get these doses to work but if you focus on the beat you'll ALWAYS get a good result.
In my opinion the iPod is a good MP3 player, the standard iBuds are great too compared to other buds. Just keep it simple, the trick is to focus, not to use the best headphones.
BTW: Im a he lol
