Being In A "Trance" Question (Similar to Marijuana?)

Hey, I've smoked weed a good chunk of times and am just curious if what you mean by being in a trance relates at all to that effect you feel right when weed starts to work (where you space out and are like "ooook it's starting to kick in") where you are just staring and your mind is gone.

I dont like the word trance because it insinuates a dream like state. This state disallows you from responding to people and noises. However when you go into a "trance" like some of our users say when your Dosing your still fully aware of your surroundings. You may forget for a moment but if someone were to say something loud enough I am sure you would hear it. OTHERWISE! Your right, Its like when your smoking pot and all your focus is concentrated into one little spec of dust and your like "woah" and nothing else matters but that dust.
