Has anybody tried to dose while relaxing in a tub/hot-tub and if so, were you able to get results?

If it relaxes you then yes, it would probably work. But make sure you're not distracted by anything (I'm concerned that the hot-tub may be a distraction).
If you feel relaxed in the hot-tub (which you probably will) then a hot-tub would be perfect.
I recommend you test it (without getting any electronics in the water, obviously) and compare it to laying down on your bed/sofa or wherever you usually administer doses.
I personally think that laying down on your bed while listening is your best option but feel free to find other places that relax you and cause no distractions.
