Experienceing things going on

I'm sure there's a way to make an idoser to do this. like if I happen to be playing skyrim, i actually experience what my avatar is going through. like maybe not getting stabbed or burnt specifically, but if I hear the wind, I feel it on my skin. I have a severe genetic case of synesthesia, and it's pretty amazing at times, but it always picks the weird times to kick in.
