MP3 conversion FAQ (Compiled)

Post by omnimega99 »

<1> How to convert dose files(*.drg) to mp3 so that i could play it on my iPod/mp3 player?
Currently, there is no way to convert the .drg files. Those can only be used with the I-Doser Player Application.

<2> What if I used the <name of recording program> to convert to mp3?
You may get an mp3 using this method, but the dose won't be effective. When you create an mp3, the file is compressed and it loses the separate binaural tones... the dose will be useless.

<3> Really? What if I use the highest quality settings to record?
Even under the best conditions with the hightest quality sound program, it won't work. MP3 compression ruins the effects. Keep in mind, I-Doser doses are very complex binaural beats. Any compression could degrade the dose. This is why we sell the Simulation CD - it was designed to be converted to mp3 with no loss.

<4> What's the difference between [mp3 generated from Simulation CD] from [mp3 recorded from the application] if you're telling us that "mp3 compression could degrade the dose"?

The Simulation CD was mastered to be more compression friendly, and tested. It is the only offical I-Doser.com approved way. Any other way of creating professional level binaural doses is an at-your-own-risk process.

I-Doser now sells MP3 packs that have been professionally converted, tweaked, and tested with the process we use to test every single cd or dose we release, so they are the best way to get mp3s that are verified, professionally tested, and will give you the best possible results available in an MP3 format.

Actually it is possible to get a .drg file into an .mp3, but not directly, its converted into something else first. I would want to post it, but I know that everyones going to use this to encourage piracy. Also, mp3 files lose some of the i-doser frequencies through conversion.

Yes, conversion to .mp3s causes audio loss, so itd be much better to convert convert it to a flawless audio codec (.flac) or a wave format (.wav), since they replicate the file almost exactly. And you're wrong, .drg files can be converted (not recorded, and then converted) directly, but if I divulge that information, everyone will start uploading/downloading their own pirated doses, and maybe even selling them on paypal or over ebay. If you're smart enough, you can use a little something called GOOGLE to figure it out. :)

If they could get it so I can send it to my i-Pod that'd be great.
Or a CD.

Being Content all day would rule.
If you are using a sample it's degraded, right?

If not, I don't notice a thing. :3
