Question about practicing

Post by Antheas »

hello people.
I've been trying this stuff for quite some time now, and it just wount work. I know this seems like a "oh noes help me plx" topic, but please read on.
what I was wondering is: I've seen loads of people say that all it takes is practicing, so if anybody care to enlighten me about what "practicing" really is, i would be grateful... Breathing techniques, how to stay calm, stuff like that, its all welcome. this seems like loads of fun, dont wanna miss out of it :D

The biggest trick I've found is to know when to calm yourself, and when to let your body be influenced by the binaural beats. I never really practiced anything and managed to get results shortly after starting to use doses. Try not to let your mind wander (although I still got results when I was daydreaming while using a dose...), just listen to the sounds and let your brain adjust itself.

Sure, I-Doser is exciting, but if you're using a dose and your heartbeat rises, and your breathing increases, just go with it. You never know when it's you, or when it's the dose, eh?

If you can give a basic description of what you normally do with a dose, I can tell you how it differs from my own actions and we can see what might help. =)

I've tried to meditade during the dose, focusing on both the whitenoise and beats, and still everything i got was a headache. I do seem to make progress though, I sort of got that out of body feeling ( it seemed like everything was miles away, until i opened my eyes), which totally freaked me out. very scary, yet exiting feeling :D

so, this is basically how I prepare/ act during the dose:

first, I start to meditade for about 2-3 minutes, and then to the "relax- body" thingy which i saw was recommended somewhere else on this site. my pulse is usually stable during the whole dose, even though I sometimes hvae to use force to keep it there ( which I've realized is wrong). when I start the dose, my body seems relaxed and ready. my pulse is low, and my breathing is stabile. I focus on the white noise, and keep my mind focused there...
that's what I do, if anybody could point out any mistakes, I would be glad.

thanks for your help! :D

As far as practicing goes, it sounds like you do everything fine so long as you are using headphones or earbuds. Just remember that the quality of them can affect your reaction to the doses, and distracting yourself with movement or other things will usually just nullify any chance of results. Try different doses; if you think weaker doses aren't working, don't be afraid to try a stronger dose.

Also keep in mind that things like your mood, physical state (are you sick, or tired, or is your brain active from just playing video games or doing homework?), and even your diet can affect how your brain may receive the binaural beats.

How does diet affect your results? What can I eat to make them more effective?
