Hi there, I'm new to I-Doser and stuff and I've decided to
give it a shot. I've been scavenging the forums for quite some time as a "Guest" user.
So far I've tried
A-Bomb, Peyote and Marihuana and I'm still trying to make a breakthrough.
Since I don't even know where to look for the root of the problem, I guess I'll just have to point everything out.
Sennheiser HD 595 + Pro-Ject Head Box II (headphone amplifier) + Tracker Pre (external audio card) + really decent cable to connect the two. Whole set costed a little under 2000 - I bet, I have the most over-kill headset system out of all members, so I doubt the problem lies here, but still it was worth to mention.
I'm using .drg doses in absolute silence and in absolute darkness, while laying down comfortably entire time, almost not moving at all, so I doubt the problem lies here, but still it was worth to mention.
Some people call it placebo effect, but I'd go with 'auto-suggestion' - also, people look down on those 2 as something bad, but I beg to differ. I used to watch documentaries about monks (here and there) and I know with enough 'auto-suggestion' one can keep warmth in freezing temperatures, fall asleep while standing and other cool stuff the buddhist monks can do, so I doubt the problem lies here in mindset, but still it was worth to mention.
I had a roommate once who taught me this excercise: Look at the clock and do not have a single thought in your mind, for example "Oh, it's been 30 seconds since I haven't had a though" - that's a thought and you have to start over. Very strict rules to that. I started as typical Joe with 20-30 seconds intervals and raised it to 3 minutes in course of couple weeks, so I doubt the problem lies here, but still it was worth to mention.
I read about doses: Reset, Condition, Alpha, Beta and I read (on some private I-Doser forum in my native language) to try Reset -> Beta -> <your choice> combination. So far I haven't tried anything like that, so the problem may lie here.
I tried doing doses after waking up, in middle of the day and before going to bed, so I doubt the problem lies here, but still it was worth to mention.
I tried to focus on: breathing, white noise, the main sound, so I don't know what else to focus on.
I had quite a lot real life MJ experience while I was living in Holland and now that I'm back to my country I am looking for some recreational and smooth way to pick up on that.

I'm sorry to trouble you - the reader - with such a wall of text, but I hit "the wall" myself and am in need of your advice.
Thx in advance
Tom
