Need help picking headphones

Post by cat42 »

I had previously used a pair of Sony MDR-210, which have a range of 14 - 20kHz, and they were somewhere around $10. I accidently broke them the other day, and since them have been using my backup headphones, which are some crappy GE ones I probably got in joblot, or something.
I only have 2 of the pay doses, because I can't afford much at the moment.
Lucid Dream, and Ecstasy.
Ecstasy worked decently on the first time, and I hadn't tried Lucid dream at the at point. Sadly, I broke my old head phones before I could try it.
All I know is Ecstasy is barely a tingle now.

I'm looking for new headphones, and have $30 to the online Walmart store.
I found 2 pairs of head phones that look promising.
The JVC HAFX33B claims to have a range of 8Hz - 23kHz, costs about $20, and has semi-decent reviews on Amazon
or
The Panasonic RP-HV21-k, which claim to have a range of 10Hz - 25kHz, costs about $10, but I can't seem to find reviews for it in my minimal research.

I am kinda leaning towards the Panasonic ones, due to price, and the fact that they have a better range than the old sony ones I had that seemed to work fine.

So I ask, which should I buy?
Thanks!

Incidentally, the MDR-210's I bought in MA, yet according to the internet, they only seem to sell in the UK. Go fig...

I would say the JVC HAFX33B because it has a better range.
at least thats what I looked for when buying my panasonic RP-HTX7.
there 7hz-22khz and seem to work well.
