Sennheiser RS 130 Wireless Surround Sound Headphones

I know the above mentioned headphones are the "recommended/required" headphones, but I have a question about them:

Does anyone know if the surround sound feature should be turned on or off to get the correct effect from a dose? I have tried it numerous times with the feature "on" and have not had any results...then again, I may just be "Immune"...
