everyone is different, but here is my advice. if you arent experiencing the effects you want from these things, treat them as a meditation. focus on the steady white noise behind the fluctuations. quiet your mind... notice your mental chatter and choose to focus on the sounds instead of think

Everybody has a different way of making it work for them. For instance I treat it like meditation, but a couple of my friends are very susceptable (lucky bastards ) and they don't need to concentrate, they just let their mind wander. That usually works okay for me but, I usually fall asleep if I don't concentrate. Don't take anybody's word for a sure-fire way of making the dose work. Everybody is different, and you should try a variety of ways of doing it to find the best for you.
